About Fruit & Spice Park

Fruit & Spice Park is the only tropical botanical garden of its kind in the United States, spanning 37 acres in the heart of Homestead's historic Redland community, about 35 miles south of Miami. Home to over 500 varieties of exotic fruits, vegetables, spices, herbs, and nuts from around the world, the park draws more than 50,000 visitors annually to its lush grounds and seasonal festivals.

Highlights include 180 varieties of mangos, 70 varieties of bamboo, 40 varieties of bananas, 15 varieties of jackfruit, and majestic African Baobab trees. Daily tasting tours let visitors sample what's ripe and in season, while a café, gift shop, and event spaces round out the experience.

Managed by Miami-Dade County Parks, the park is open every day of the week from 10 AM to 5 PM. Admission is paid, with a price level in the $$ range.

Perfect for families, nature lovers, and curious foodies seeking a one-of-a-kind outdoor adventure in Greater Miami.

The best time to visit Fruit & Spice Park is during Miami's dry season from October through April, when temperatures are cooler and more comfortable for outdoor exploration. Summer visits are possible but expect intense heat and humidity; the park's shaded banana groves and tree canopies offer some relief.

Highly positive. Visitors consistently praise the park's extraordinary variety of tropical plants and fruits, the educational tasting tours, and its uniqueness as the only attraction of its kind in the continental U.S. Minor complaints relate to heat exposure and occasional inconsistency in what's available to taste depending on the season.
