Coral Castle

Coral Castle is a landmark outdoor sculpture garden and museum in Homestead, built single-handedly by Latvian immigrant Edward Leedskalnin between 1923 and 1951. Using only basic tools, Leedskalnin excavated, carved, and moved over 1,100 tons of oolitic limestone into massive furniture, celestial markers, and architectural features, including a perfectly balanced 9-ton gate and the world's only sundial with seasons.

Visitors can explore the grounds via guided tours, watch a short film on the mysteries behind the construction, browse a collection of Leedskalnin's tools and writings, relax at the on-site cafe, and shop for keepsakes in the gift shop. The site has been featured on the History Channel, Travel Channel, Discovery Channel, and Ancient Aliens, and continues to draw engineers, scientists, and curious visitors debating how one man accomplished this feat alone.

Open daily, Coral Castle offers a self-contained 1-2 hour experience that blends history, folklore, and unsolved mystery, making it one of South Florida's most distinctive attractions for families, history buffs, and road-trippers heading toward the Florida Keys.
