Tropical Park

Tropical Park is a large public park built in 1979 on the site of a former horse track, drawing roughly 1.5 million visitors a year.

Located in Miami's Westchester area, the park offers miles of paved paths for biking, walking, and running around four separate lakes, along with fishing and boating opportunities. Sports facilities include baseball and softball fields, basketball and tennis courts, a running track and stadium, a boxing center, pickleball and racquetball courts, and a playground with slides and swings.

The Ronald Reagan Equestrian Center hosts more than 36 horse shows a year, including major events like the Spectrum International Paso Fino show, and features 267 stalls, show arenas, and seating for roughly 1,000 spectators. There's also a dog park, picnic areas with grills, and the Mary Abreu Community Center for events and meetings.

Admission to the park itself is free, making it a popular spot for both locals and visitors looking to spend a low-cost day outdoors.
