Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU

The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU is the only museum dedicated to chronicling 250 years of Jewish life, heritage, and culture in Florida and Latin America. Housed in two adjacent, beautifully restored Art Deco buildings on Washington Avenue that once served as Miami Beach's first Jewish congregation's synagogues, the museum anchors its permanent collection around "MOSAIC: Jewish Life in Florida, 1763 to Present," alongside rotating temporary art and history exhibitions.

Visitors explore photographs, artifacts, and archival materials that trace immigration, community-building, and cultural exchange, all within a building whose stained glass and architectural details are attractions in their own right. A Collections and Research Center and an on-site museum store round out the visit.

Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and located in the South of Fifth section of Miami Beach, the museum offers guided tours, group visits, and educational programming suited to guests of all backgrounds.
