About Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU

The Jewish Museum of Florida-FIU is the only institution in the world dedicated to documenting over 250 years of Jewish life in Florida and Latin America. Located at 301 Washington Avenue in Miami Beach's South of Fifth neighborhood, the museum occupies two beautifully restored Art Deco synagogues that once served Miami Beach's first Jewish congregation.

At its core is the permanent exhibit "MOSAIC: Jewish Life in Florida, 1763 to Present," complemented by rotating history and art exhibitions that explore themes of memory, identity, diaspora, and resilience. Operated in partnership with Florida International University, the museum features a Collections and Research Center, a gift shop stocked with unique items, and guided tours for groups and individuals.

Accredited by the American Alliance of Museums and ranked #4 of 155 things to do in Miami Beach on TripAdvisor, it welcomes visitors of all ages and backgrounds. Admission is paid, tours take 1–2 hours, and the museum is open Wednesday through Sunday, 10 AM–4 PM.
