Hobie Island Beach Park

Hobie Island Beach Park is a shallow-water beach park sitting along the Rickenbacker Causeway between Miami and Key Biscayne, known locally as Windsurfer Beach. Visitors come for calm, warm water good for wading and paddleboarding, wide views of the Miami skyline across the bay, and a long stretch of sand backed by palm trees.

The park includes a dog-friendly area, making it one of the few Miami beaches where pets can join the water. Watersports rentals for kiteboarding, windsurfing, and paddleboarding are available on site, and food trucks typically park nearby for casual bites.

Admission is free, with free parking lots and street parking, though weekend spaces fill quickly. Public restrooms, picnic areas, and wheelchair-accessible entrances and parking are on site.

The park is busiest on weekend afternoons, especially Sunday, when it draws families, dog owners, and watersports enthusiasts. Sunset here is a frequent draw, with the skyline glowing behind the water.
