Domino Park

Domino Park, officially Máximo Gómez Park, is a small but iconic public park on Calle Ocho in Little Havana. Named for the Cuban revolutionary general, the park has served for more than 40 years as a gathering spot where local Cuban American residents, many with lifetime membership through the Maximo Gomez Domino Club, play dominoes and chess at covered tables while sipping Cuban coffee and chatting with friends.

Visitors can watch the games from perimeter benches, admire the domino-decorated tilework walkways, and take in a large mural by Dominican artist Oscar Thomas depicting the presidents who attended the 1994 Summit of the Americas in Miami. Just outside the park is the Little Havana Paseo de las Estrellas, a walk of fame honoring Latin American entertainers.

Admission is free and the park is open daily from 9am to 6pm. It's an easy, budget-friendly stop for anyone exploring Calle Ocho, with Azucar Ice Cream Company and the Little Havana Visitor Center just steps away.
